Maine Trail Finder Accessibility Project

If you follow my social media you may have noticed a lot of posts shared from Maine Trail Finder over the past few months.  Those posts are shared because I am working with them on an accessibility project. I have been their accessibility ambassador traveling all over Maine assessing trails for accessibility.  After each evaluation, I write my thoughts into a blog which you can find under the stories link at the MTF site.

This is really the dream job of a lifetime and I am so grateful for the opportunity.  I have been to almost every corner of the state in just a few short months but there are thousands of trails in Maine.  I will be doing my best to get to all of them.  In the meantime, there is a new map where you can follow my journey and see where I have been. I can’t believe I have evaluated 22 trails and the season isn’t quite over yet.  This winter I will be checking out cross country skiing options for those of us with disabilities.  Stay tuned for many more adventures and don’t forget to check out MTF for all the adventures you can possibly imagine in the state of Maine.
